NARCO : Empaña el redituable mercado del Aguacate


Pharr, Texas.- U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility this weekend discovered 1,055 pounds of alleged marijuana within a commercial trailer hauling a shipment of avocadoes.mj Packages containing 1,055 pounds of marijuana seized by CBP officers at Pharr International Bridge.

 “Our officers’ experience combined with the use of available tools continues to keep dangerous drugs from entering our country,” said Acting Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas port of entry. The seizure occurred on Saturday, Dec. 16 when CBP officers assigned to the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility encountered a white 2005 Freightliner tractor trailer hauling the shipment of avocadoes.

 After the conveyance was referred for a secondary inspection, CBP officers utilized a non-intrusive imaging system to locate the narcotics. CBP officers extracted 440 packages of alleged marijuana within the conveyance. 

 CBP OFO seized the drugs, which are valued at approximately $210,980. The case remains under investigation by Homeland Security Investigations special agents.
