ARTE CULTURA : Divulga Mision de Tumacacori su programa de actividades

Mission, park cultural activities flourish

Those seeking something old yet new may consider a visit to Mission San José deTumacácori about three miles south of Tubac. Once the home of the first Spanish Colonial Jesuit mission in 1691, it was protected in 1908 as Tumacácori National Monument by President Theodore Roosevelt. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in October 1966, and in 1990 was re-designated as Tumacácori National Historical Park.
