DISNEYLANDIA : Hace reconsideraciones al parking de quienes solo entran a consumir

A car enters the short term parking lot for Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. A sign clearly states that there is no theme park parking allowed in the lot, but many do anyway, aware of the three-hour time restriction. Some even dash out from the theme parks, drive their car out of the lot - then turn around and re-enter, starting the three-hour clock over again. //// ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Do visitors to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland try to cheat on the rules for single rider lines, short term parking and height requirements or height restrictions to ride on rides? - Date of photo: 06/30/16 - disney.nilescolumn.0703 -- Photo by: MARK EADES, STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER

The Disneyland Resort is making a big change in the parking policy for its Downtown Disney parking lot. Beginning Wednesday, August 16, the new policy will provide two hours of free parking, but only if a $20 minimum purchase is made and validation received from a Downtown Disney location.

This includes any quick-service restaurants and kiosks, according to a post on the Disney Parks blog. Visitors can receive up to four hours free parking if they receive validation from any of the Downtown Disney table-service restaurants or the AMC Theatres. Along with this change, there is now just a 15-minute grace period, to allow those dropping visitors off for Downtown Disney or to visit its theme parks.

After that, there is a minimum $6 charge. After that, each additional hour will cost $12, charged in 30-minute increments, or $6 per each additional 30 minutes. The resort is also increasing the maximum to $48. For those using the restaurants at the Disneyland Hotel, there is no validation for the Downtown Disney parking lot.
