KNOTT's Desmantela en abril 23 su roller coasters

BUENA PARK – One of Knott’s Berry Farm’s roller coasters is riding off into the sunset. The farm announced Friday, March 17, that the last time people can ride Boomerang is on Sunday, April 23, coinciding with the last day of its annual Boysenberry Festival.

The coaster has been part of the park’s Boardwalk area for 27 years. It replaced the “Roaring 20s Corkscrew” in 1990. The Corkscrew made its debut in 1975, closing in 1989. The ride is located behind the Calico Mine Train Ride at Knott’s.

Riders traverse the 875-foot steel track forwards and backwards, going upside down six times before finishing their ride. It reaches a top speed of 48 mph. Officials with the park didn’t say why Boomerang is closing and would not say what their future plans are for the site at this time. After the closure, Knott’s will have seven roller coasters.
