MEDICAL CENTER DE YUMA Cierra año recibiendo altos merecimientos

Ready to receive award

Yuma Regional Medical Center will bring in the new year as one of the organizations chosen for an award that honors the entire hospital for excelling in quality, performance and outcomes. The Southwest Alliance for Excellence, or SWAE, recently announced that YRMC will be among six recipients in the 2016 Performance Excellence Program. Annually, the Performance Excellence Program recognizes organizations in Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Along with the formal recognition, SWAE’s multi-tiered process assists organizations selected across the three states in performance excellence and encourages the exchange of skills, ideas and learning.

YRMC was selected to receive SWAE’s Level 2 Commitment Award, which honors organizations that demonstrate “effective, systematic approaches generally responsive to the basic criteria requirements, with some early stages of deployment,” an SWAE news release stated. This year’s Board of Examiners was comprised of over 42 members who have experience both at the state and national levels in business, education healthcare and government. SWAE’s release shows that the board spent over 4,500 hours assessing the applicants for 2016 in seven areas: Leadership, Strategy, Customers, Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management, Workforce, Operations and Results.
