Sept. 10 • U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry pedestrian lanes referred a 32-year-old woman from Casa Grande, Ariz. for further inspection and discovered almost a half-pound of meth in her underwear.

 Sept. 9 • Officers referred a 27-year-old man from Hermosillo, Sonora for a secondary inspection of his Hyundai SUV at the DeConcini port. After a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the vehicle’s rear cargo area, officers found close to 160 pounds of cocaine worth nearly $1.8 million. •

A drug-sniffing dog helped CBP officers locate more than 17 pounds of meth, valued in excess of $52,000, in the front wheel wells of a Dodge van driven by a 36-year-old man from Nogales, Ariz. • A 16-year-old girl from Nogales, Ariz. was arrested after she was caught at the DeConcini port with almost three pounds of heroin, worth nearly $48,000, in her undergarments.
